What is Guerrilla Marketing?

Guerrilla marketing is an advertising strategy that seeks to draw attention to goods or services in an extravagant manner and on a small budget.

Do you remember Arjun Amma Yaru ad?

“Who is Arjun’s Mom?” was the slogan of an advertisement campaign launched by HAP in the early months of 2004. It highlighted a boy named Arjun who achieved success in both academics and athletics. The fifteen-second daily advertisement teasers merely posed the question of who the mother of the intelligent boy was. The mother was introduced at the start of the two-week long series. She was the one who made sure her son drank this “Naalarai paal (4.5 milk)” every day by buying “Arokya” milk. In other words, “Arokya milk” came to be associated with “naalarai paal” or the 4.5 percent figure on AI Rie’s recommendation.

Amazing advertising was run in print and on the internet by Arokya to promote Arjun and his power.  It grabbed customers’ interest and differentiated them apart from their competitors.

So, how are you planning to Guerrilla Marketing in your business?
