What is Guerrilla Marketing?

   Guerrilla marketing is a form of advertising when a business employs unexpected and/or outlandish interactions to market a commodity or service. It is a form of public relations. Guerrilla Marketing, a 1984 book by Jay Conrad Levinson, is credited with popularising the phrase.      Guerrilla marketing employs a variety of strategies and tactics to make direct contact with potential clients.

The ultimate goal of marketing is to get people to remember items or brands in a way that differs from how they may be used to remembering them. One of the objectives of this engagement is to elicit an emotional response in the clients.

     In this advertisement, an elderly man uses several tools to try and catch fish but is unsuccessful. In the meantime, a villager arrives with a little stick and fevikwik and uses it to capture four fish after placing four droplets of the bait on the stick and dipping it into the water. The elderly man was astounded when he saw the villager.

      Although this advertisement appears to be humorous, it has had a significant influence on people. All of the educated population has been targeted. This advertisement became quite well-known and helped fevikwik sell more products.
