The goal of Guerrilla Marketing is to achieve high exposure at a low cost using unconventional marketing techniques.

The term was coined by Jay Conrad Levinson in his book Guerrilla Advertising. It was derived from the idea of guerrilla warfare. Unconventional methods are employed to defeat the enemy.

Given their limited resources and budget, Guerrilla Marketing is considered to be the best marketing strategy for small businesses.

The idea of guerrilla marketing is original and attracts viewers’ attention. The different, the better. Therefore, guerrilla marketing is highly effective. The goal is not to promote your product, but to capture interest.

Guerrilla marketing also involves a campaign that is used by a social activist.

We are going to look at a social activist in Chennai who campaigned about climate change in the metro station.

The social activist was sitting inside a place, where he demonstrated the world is melting because of climate change.

There are many more Guerrilla campaigns with regards to social awareness like  Burger King Outlet, PETA challenge, etc.

An example of a Guerrilla campaign with regards to a film is “Joker Film” in the Tamil language.

So, how are you planning to implement Guerrilla marketing in your business associated with a social message?
